2. What Data We Collect

Depending on how you use myGameDojo, we may collect:

• account and profile information, including email address, nickname, avatar, sign-in provider, time zone, and connected Discord account;
• content and communications you submit, including guides, videos, comments, messages, reports, coaching notes, and support requests;
• transaction records, purchase history, subscription status, coaching bookings, refunds, and payout-account status. Stripe processes payment-card and bank-account details; myGameDojo does not store full card details;
• activity and preferences, including follows, saved guides, viewing progress, notification choices, and cookie preferences;
• device and technical information, including IP address, browser or device type, app version, push-notification token, security events, and diagnostic request data; and
• optional analytics and performance data where consent is required.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

• provide and maintain the service
• manage user accounts
• process payments and subscriptions
• deliver video, messaging, coaching, email, and push-notification features
• improve product performance and user experience
• ensure security and prevent abuse
• comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data based on:

• Contract (to provide the service you signed up for)
• Legitimate interest (service improvement, security)
• Consent (optional analytics, marketing communications, and device permissions where applicable)
• Legal obligation (if required by law)

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers:

• Supabase (authentication, database, storage, and backend services)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Discord (account linking and community access)
• Apple and Google (sign-in, when selected)
• Bunny.net (video storage and delivery)
• Resend (transactional and legal email delivery)
• Expo (mobile builds and push-notification delivery)
• Google/YouTube (video embeds and playback where a guide uses YouTube)
• Vercel (web hosting and infrastructure)
• Google Analytics (optional usage analytics, only after consent)
• Vercel Speed Insights (optional performance analytics, only after consent)

These providers may process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own regulated services. Their processing may involve transfers outside the European Economic Area using applicable safeguards.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Account content is normally retained while the account is active. Transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and audit records may be retained for the periods required by law or legitimate business needs.

You can start account deletion directly in Profile settings. A seven-day recovery period protects against mistakes and account takeover. After that period, account content and the authentication account are permanently removed, subject to limited records that must be retained by law. Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked when permanent deletion is finalized.

You have the right to:

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep the service working and, if you allow it, to measure site performance.

• Essential storage: login sessions, account security, payments, Discord connection, and remembering your cookie preference.
• Optional analytics: Google Analytics usage measurement and Vercel Speed Insights performance measurement, loaded only after you choose analytics cookies.
• Local storage/session storage: UI preferences such as messages state and in-progress authentication redirects.

The native mobile app uses secure device storage for authentication sessions and may store local UI preferences. Push notifications are optional and can be disabled in device settings.

9. User Content and Communications

Content you publish may be visible to other users according to the audience you choose. Private messages and coaching materials are available only to intended participants and authorized service personnel where needed for support, safety, or legal compliance. Reports may be reviewed to enforce our rules.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted transport, restricted service credentials, and additional verification for sensitive account actions. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

myGameDojo is not directed to children under 13. Users must meet the minimum age required in their country to consent to an online service, or use the service with valid parental or guardian authorization where permitted.
